PTE Template Checker
Paste your answer and see which sentences sound like a memorised template, how closely you follow the prompt, and what to change.
Pearson says that for tests taken after 7 August 2025, responses to some questions are part-scored by humans as well as AI (humans never check pronunciation or fluency) — Pearson PTE updates. A memorised template says little about the actual question, so build your answer from the prompt itself.
Practise with real prompts
The checker runs automatically after every essay, email and summary in practice, and on your speaking transcript when AI scoring is on.
Questions
Three things: sentences built on common all-purpose template phrases that say little about the question, how many key words from the prompt (or the image’s labels, or the lecture) your answer uses, and phrases you repeat. It then gives an estimated Low, Medium or High template risk.
